Best MAC Lipstick for Dry Lips

There are a million of things to admire about an extraordinary lipstick, but the flaky, tight, dry feel it regularly delivers sucks for I always want to avoid dryness. Unless you happen to find a lipstick that provides both color and hydration, that is. It is our mini version of heaven.

The bonus: The best lipsticks for dry lips I’ve come across from MAC. As I mentioned in my previous post, with MAC cosmetics, you don’t have to stress about losing your quality of life in favor of your lipstick’s quality.

1. MAC Cyber

Price: $17.50
Finish: Satin
MAC describes Cyber as a bright blackish-purple lipstick. It is a bit more pigmented and not as glossy in its sheen but color-wise. Cyber will be a better choice for drier skin or lips for it is not as clingy or dry. It will be a much better choice if you click the photo below and get this lipstick now.

2. MAC Verve

Price: $17.50
Finish: Satin
MAC describes Verve as a muted brownish-plum. It is one of the best shades for all Indian skin tones. Also, I believe that this would look great on all skin complexions. It has rich pigmentation that gives full coverage, and it easily slides on and gives good coverage on a single wipe. It has a creamy texture without shimmer that doesn’t dry out lips and works well with or without lip liner. You can get this on Amazon or by simply clicking the photo below.

3. MAC Del Rio

Price: $17.50
Finish: Satin
MAC describes Del Rio as muted plum-brown. It is the kind of a brick red color, perfect for ladies with tan to darker tones. This is the lipstick color that very much like what the Brazilian girls would wear. It is lighter than the Verve but not that much. Also, it glides better and very pigmented when talking about application-wise and doesn’t dry out the lips. Get this lipstick by clicking the image below.

4. MAC Pure Zen

Price: $17.50
Finish: Cremesheen
MAC describes Pure Zen as a frosted warm nude. It’s like a pinky-peach nude which is excellent for a smokey eye. It is a creme sheen finish which is good for any girls who do not like anything sparkly or shiny on their lips. This works on dry lips because it has an excellent pigmentation, especially for its nude color. Also, it is soft that you can feel like it is moisturizing on your lips. 5. MAC Fanfare

Price: $17.50
Finish: Cremesheen

MAC describes Pure Zen as a mid-tone yellow pink which glides easily and smoothly on lips. It is not drying and keeps lips comfortable over the wear time. You can get this lipstick when you click the photo below. Nonetheless, you should take care of the dry patches on your lips by exfoliating and using a good lip balm before applying Fanfare to avoid patchiness and uneven application.

6. MAC Modesty

Price: $17.50
Finish: Cremesheen

MAC describes Modesty as a muted neutral pink that has a subtle sheen and is versatile. It can be worn for work or with jeans and a t-shirt. It sounds cool, right? Get this now by clicking the image below. Also, this shade flatters the best look and gives the proper nude polished look in dark and smokey eyes without looking ill. It is smooth, very creamy and easy to apply which does not tug or dry out lips.

7. MAC Sweet Sakura

Price: $17.50
Finish: Cremesheen

MAC describes Sweet Sakura as a “true red with soft gold pearl.” It’s a lightened, medium red with neutral-to-warm undertones and fine gold pearl. It appears more neutral to women who have cooler or more neutral undertones. It has a semi-opaque color that payoffs when smoothly applied on the lips, although it takes a few seconds for the formula to slip on as it starts off too firm. This shade could last for four hours, and it is neither hydrating nor drying. Click the photo below to order this lipstick.

8. MAC See Sheer

Price: $17.50
Finish: Lustre

MAC describes See Sheer as a grapefruit pink. This lipstick is a great everyday color that works quite nicely with all Indian skin tones. For you to get a full-color coverage, you may need to apply 2 to 3 wipes since it is not hugely pigmented. It is not necessary to well-prepped the lips in applying this lipstick because it is moisturizing on lips that work well on dry lips. You can get this MAC lipstick when you click on the image below.

9. MAC Touch

Price: $17.50
Finish: Lustre

MAC describes Touch as a peachy cinnamon. This lipstick works well not just for fair skinned women but also for the dark skinned women with dry lips. You could even skip applying a lip balm and get a pretty smooth matte natural look. It’s ideal for blending, for instance, the pinky lip tint that will take the color up a notch. This is by far an excellent recommendation I could give to any girl who struggles in finding a nude that will match their shade. Click the photo below to get this now!

10. MAC Capricious

Price: $17.50
Finish: Lustre

MAC describes Capricious as a fanciful rose plum that would last a few hours without eating or drinking which I believe is an acceptable range for any girl. I won’t call Capricious a hydrating lipstick, but it is not drying on the lips. If you have a parched lips, add some lip balm about 20 minutes before applying the lipstick so it would give a little extra moisture on your lips. Best MAC Lipstick for Dry Lips

There you have it. I have listed, in my opinion, the ten best MAC lipsticks for dry lips. They are from the satin, cremesheen and lustre finishes. Satins don’t transfer much to cups and such, which I think is preferable for almost everyone. Cremesheens do have a coverage of semi-opaque to opaque that would last an average of four hours of wear. They are sometimes drying and not drying, and have a light shine to their finish. Lustre is relatively sheer but easily buildable with a nice glossy finish that would last an average of three hours of wear. You may notice that I didn’t list all of its respective shades, it is because that not all of the shades that fall under satin, cremesheen and lustre are ideal for dry lips. I hope that answers it.

A word of advice

Please take care of your lips. One way to do that is to exfoliate and moisturize it by using a good lip primer or a lip balm either you apply a lipstick or not.

Have you tried any of the MAC lipsticks mentioned above? How was your experience? Let me know in the comment section below. I hope this helps you. 🙂
